Dr. Kallal has over 20 years of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology experience.
She completed her Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery training at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, and is Board Certified in Dermatology. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha society. She also completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science San Antonio Hospitals.
Dr. Kallal has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, from the University of Alberta, and a Doctorate in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Texas. While working in private practice in Los Angeles, Dr. Kallal expanded her knowledge in Integrative Medicine, taking courses in acupuncture and homeopathy. Dr. Kallal brings a broad knowledge base to her dermatology practice and advocates overall health in addition to healthy and beautiful skin.
I have been a runner since my track and field days in Edmonton; I ran track and cross country in Canada for the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria. I still enjoy running, trail hiking, cycling and swimming. I completed the Olympic Distance Malibu Triathlon twice, as well as other triathlons in Southern California. Physical fitness is important to me for both the physical, mental and spiritual benefits.
While in Los Angeles, I studied homeopathy and Acupuncture, which gave me a broader and deeper understanding of health and disease. I believe diet, exercise and supplements can slow down the aging process and improve one’s quality of life.
